To highlight the fact that some people will not fall prey to any enticement, but will follow the path of righteousness, the poet says here – A person becomes a slave for five Puranas (one of the oldest Indian coins in the form of a stamped silver bars). Some people will consider himself lucky if he possesses one lac (hundred thousand) coins. However, some people are not gained (attracted to) with even one lac coins (they only do what is right).
