उभयत्र सुखोदर्कः इह चैव परत्र च ॥ – महाभारत
loka yAtraartha meva iha dharmasya niyamaH kRutaH ।
ubhayatra sukhodarkaH iha chaiva paratra cha ॥ – mahAbhArata
The rules of dharma are made thus to enable smooth functioning of this world. But following it will give you lot of happiness not only in this world, but also the afterlife. – Mahabharata
