नैते सृती पार्थ जानन्योगी मुह्यति कश्चन |
तस्मात्सर्वेषु कालेषु योगयुक्तो भवार्जुन ||८- २७||
naite srutee paartha jaananyogee muhyati kaschyan
tasmaatsarveShu kaaleShu yogayukto bhavaarjuna
Knowing these paths O Partha, no yogin is deluded; therefore at all times be steadfast in yoga, O Arjuna.
वेदेषु यज्ञेषु तपःसु चैव
दानेषु यत्पुण्यफलं प्रदिष्टम् |
अत्येति तत्सर्वमिदं विदित्वा
योगी परं स्थानमुपैति चाद्यम् ||८- २८||
vedheShu yadneShu tapahsu chaiva
daaneShu yatpuNyaphalam pradiShTam
atyeti tatsarvamidam viditva
yogee param sthaanamupaiti chaadyam
Whatever fruit of merit is declared (in the scriptures) as springing up from the study of the vedas, from performance of sacrifices, from the practice of austerities, and from charity- beyond all these goes the yogin, who having known the two paths attains to the supreme primeval essence.
ॐ तत्सदिति श्रीमद्भगवद्गीतासूपनिषत्सु
ब्रह्मविद्यायां योगशास्त्रे श्रीकृष्णार्जुनसंवादे
अक्षरब्रह्मयोगो नामाष्टमोऽध्यायः ||८||
