Deers roam in the company of deers, cows with other cows, and horses with other horses. Similarly foolish and unlettered persons remain in the company of foolish and unlettered persons and well educated and honorable persons always keep the company of well educated and honorable persons, which implies that those who have common nature and attributes always have friendship with each other.
There is also an English proverb depicting similar thoughts i.e. ”Birds of same feather flock together.”
