avandhyam divasam kuryAt dAna adhyayana karmasu ॥ – subhAShitaratnabhANDAgAra
A person should learn about impermanence from these two. Collyrium applied to the eyelashes get washed away easily. Ants build the anthill only to let a snake live in it. After having seen this, one should not waste his time every day. He must engage in charity (giving) and introspective study. – Subhashitaratnabhandagara
